first post - star fox in the new mario movie

march 26, 2026

so i finally got something like a blog set up on this website!! this was supposed to be the main point of the website when i first started working on it, but i never got around to setting up a layout like this. so yeah, now i have a space to just spew words.

i'd like to set up some kind of comment section for these posts, i think that'd be pretty funny...

okay time to talk about stuff: i just saw that Fox McCloud is going to be in the next mario movie. like... i have little to no words. this is so crazy. nintendo releases a shitty star fox 64 remake for the Wii U, doesn't mention anything about star fox forever, and then drops this?! like holy shit!!!! that's so cool but omg why!!!!!!!

i also think it would've been so much cooler if they made it all a surprise... honestly, all i hope is that the rest of the star fox crew shows up and has their own little scene. that would be so cute. maybe even sprinkle a wolf o'donnell reference in there!

i don't know how frequent these are going to be

over the past day, i've been brainstorming how much slop i can put in here. the answer is: quite a lot. i have a lot of slop knowledge. it all just depends on when i punch it all into my keyboard... i think i'm a pretty efficient writer if i'm not using tedious settings like MLA format or whatever; i'm just good at transferring my thoughts in my head to text i guess. also, sorry if there's spelling errors. i'm using a simple text box to HTML editor right now for this, and it doesn't have spell check. but like i don't think i'm getting graded on this so whatevr

actually, i should take advantage of this! i'm giving this format you're reading right now a name... the junebro format... or maybe, JBR format. just to keep the three letters thing going. hoooly shit, JBR format. ditch APA, MLA, and chicago... it's time to go all JBR babey!!!

marking my words, in sports (2024)

march 27, 2026

i don't bet on sports. sportsbetting as a concept kinda grosses me out. it definitely hypnotises you to not live in the moment and just focus on the bet you made.

but, what i WILL say though, is that making bracket predictions is like, the most fun i've had spectating sports. rooting for a team and not putting in a single penny while doing so is actually really fun. "errm where's the risk/reward?!" i dunno man i just like watching pucks go in the net!!

every playoff season for the big four leagues, i try to create a prediction of how the bracket will turn out. this post is going to be about the brackets i've made in 2024.

it started during the 2024 NHL playoffs, when i started actually watching hockey. the detroit red wings (my team) missed the playoff picture by a tiebreaker on the last day of the regular season, which really sucked, but i was happy to witness their amazing efforts in the last few games. i had the winnipeg jets winning it all, because i assumed the team with the most points would go to win it all. (that hasn't happened in like a million years or something :/) my bracket was so wrong, but the whole tournament was a fun watch. boston winning game 7 against toronto in overtime was like, the first time i've seen a hockey arena pop off like that. i still have #chills from that goal. holy shit man. vancouver absolutely ROBBING nashvillle in their series felt so wrong to watch, but sooooo good....

i decided to make a playoff prediction for the 2024 NBA finals, except i had no clue who to pick. i don't really follow basketball, but i had the boston celtics going all the way. i don't remember how that bracket ended up, but at least it was a fun excuse to watch playoff basketball.

also in 2024, the detroit tigers made an insane push to the MLB playoffs towards the end of their season,,, it was incredible to watch. i think at this point, i knew the LA dodgers were the evil baseball team that wins everything, so i had them going all the way. (funny enough, i picked cleveland to make it to the world series too... not sure where i was going with that but eh!)

wow i made a lot of these in 2024...

in late 2024, i made a playoff bracket prediction for the CFB playoffs, and oregon was my pick to go all the way. and SOMEHOW, i watched the oh-so fraudulent ducks collapse against ohio state... at oregon. that was really sad to watch, considering how awesome their uniforms looked at the time... i did not expect OSU to go on to win it all (which is just insane to think .. as a michigander) but like, that was fun i guess!!!

(actually i'm remembering that one missed targeting call during the texas vs. arizona state game. that was really hard to watch. on new years day too..,. wtf man...)

watching grown men throw some balls around on TV during the big 24 was pretty interesting. it was the first year i actually payed attention to the playoffs, and still, looking back on that boston goal against toronto... makes me wanna sit down and watch grown men throwing some balls around next year.

it was my birthday

april 7th, 2026

it was my birthday on march 30th. i turned 21! i can do more grown-up stuff now. do i really want to do all of that right now? not really. my birthday was pretty cool. i got to sit in class and think "wow no one in here knows it's my birthday."

also, i now own Klonoa 2 for the PS2. as a PROUD owner of the Klonoa remakes, the second title was one of the most charming games i've played. and now i can play the original, which is pretty similar to the remake honestly, but still, it's the original! the gameplay itself is fine, it's lowkey the easiest game i've played ever. however, he says Wahoo. and i think that's Cool as Fuck

commissions

April 25th, 2026

i think it's about time i start drawing for money... i hesitated on this for so long, that i started to realize just how little i valued my time drawing. i know i have a lot of fun doing it, i just feel a little empty afterwards. i don't know how many people out there have been thinking "man i really wish i could give junebro like 20 bucks right now for an artwork," but now, they can do that.

i was always a bit clueless about it because i never understood the point of giving someone a PNG in exchange for money, but now i see that it's MUCH more than that. watching someone spend so much time on your character specifically is like the coolest thing ever. i think about the attacks i received during artfight man; i was in love with those all month long... i totally get it now.

the one thing that's kinda melting my brain is what prices i should set for my artworks. i'm so bad at putting a price tag on my art. i feel like i can't pay by the amount of time i worked on it; some parts of an artwork just take faster/slower to complete. i just don't know how much people are willing to pay for my art... i'm gonna hope that i'll find the answer to this the more commissions i work on.
